Flying Dog Illusion

Seven people leaning against a wall marvel at the sight of a flying dog.  It almost appears that the dog is full of helium. Two other similar photographs worth revisiting are Climbing from Erik Minnema and the optical illusion courtesy of Hurricane Sandy.

The Writing's on the Wall Music Video

OK Go is an American band known for their unusually quirky videos.  For their latest effort promoting their new single The Writing’s on the Wall, from the forthcoming album titled Hungry Ghosts, they decided to dive head first into the realm of optical illusions.  What they came up with is an entertaining music video featuring […]

Grabbing the Tower Optical Illusion

This man appears to be so big that he can grip the base of a tower and hold it like his own personal toy.  It would be interesting to know how far away he is standing from this structure when this picture was taken. For another interesting forced perspective photograph, check out the Eiffel Tower […]

The Road to Nowhere

If you were parked here taking this photograph, would you feel comfortable driving over this bridge?  Is the car heading up the hill in the distance about to drive off the end and into the cold waters below? This is a photograph of Storseisundet Bridge in Norway.  It is the longest of eight bridges that […]

The […]

Honda CRV Optical Illusion Commercial

This one minute commercial for the Honda CR-V features a number of different optical illusions. The tag line for the commercial is “An Impossible Made Possible”, and the result is a mind-bending and pretty entertaining advertisement. I typically do not like many commercials, but I must admit that this one was well done. Do you […]

Tightrope Optical Illusion

This photograph, taken at the Phaeno Science Centre in Wolfsburg, Germany, shows a young woman carefully walking on a tightrope strung between two buildings.  A pretty typical piece of advice for someone with a fear of heights is, “Don’t look down!”.  In this case, however, the woman should have no trouble staring down at the […]
