Using Google Earth, a mountain formation resembling the head of an Indian can be found near Alberta, Canada. The image features a lot of facial detail including an eyebrow, an eye, a nose, lips, a chin and a neck. Some people have even noted that it looks like the profile might be listening to an iPod. If so, I wonder what he is listening to?

You can view this illusion yourself on Google Maps by clicking here. Compare this natural optical illusion to the previously-featured Apache Head in the Rocks. Which do you think looks more like the head of an Indian?

Is this man climbing a large white ladder? What is going on here?

Perhaps this is just the case of a man on his hands and knees on the pavement with a camera tilted at an angle to give the impression that he is climbing. This photograph was taken by Erik Minnema.

According to Ken Knowlton, he has been many things. He cites being a student, teacher, speaker, mathematician, physicist, electron microscopist, computer scientist, researcher, inventor, author, artist, and a critic. He also creates portrait mosaics of famous people using real seashells. As you would imagine, this is a tedious process that involves a lot of trial and error to get everything just right. His shell rendering of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll can be seen below.
